The Italian Rugby
Federation has announced the definitive suspension of the 2019/2020 sports season "to
protect the health and future of players of all ages and levels, their families
and their communities" and to "allow clubs to operate under the
clarity with respect to the activities planned in the coming months ". The
decision which has no precedent in the history of Italian rugby since the
second post-war period was decided in the federal council on Thursday 26 March.
Following the suspension of all the championships the Serie A of Italian rugby
- will not be awarded, just as there will be no promotions and relegations from
one division to another.
